BIOGRAPHY
Loonaloop are a live Electronic Band with massive trails and a vibrant history of performances at festivals and clubs all over Europe, the UK, NZ and AUS for well over a decade.
The band has a distinct and unique sound-aptly described as “stunning instrumental and vocal journeys entwined with killa electronical!”
Loonaloop's live instrumentation features; Violin emanating lush melodies & dirty driving riffs, pulsating bodyrocking didgeridoo, enchanting vocals, powerhouse drums, plush synths, samplers and electronic gismos.
Loonaloop's music weaves seamlessly between dance genres mixing it up with touches of drum&bass, electro dub, gypsy house, tribal trance & a hint of world music… and then some!
Well renowned and celebrated for their charismatic and high-energy performance, Loonaloop are at home on any stage and have earned a reputation across the globe as dance floor and festival favourites.
Loonaloop has 5 independently released studio albums, with another slated for release in 2024, whcih will align with their upcoming EU tour.
Having this extensive pool of tracks to draw from gives the band the ability to connect with diverse audiences, transporting them a sonic journey that leaves a lasting imprint on the senses and sweat on the dancefloor.
Extended biography
History - Originally formed in Australia Loonaloop has been active on the international club and festival circuit for over a decade headlining and performing innumerable festivals around the globe, some of which include Glastonbury (UK 7 times), Secret Garden Party (UK), Dance Valley (NL), Rock for People (CZ), Tribal Elek (FR), World Body Painting Festival (AU), Didj n Bass (AU), Big Day Out (AUS), Aum Festival (NZ), Earth Beat (NZ), Summer stage (Byron Bay AUS), Airlie Beach Fest of Music (QLD) and numerous more in Germany, Italy, Slovakia, UK, Poland, CZ.
Best described as a live electro/organic dance band, Loonaloop's distinctive sound is driven by a combination of traditional instruments, Drums, Didgeridoo, Violin, Vocals, Synths and samples, and is fused with crafty electronica. The music is a vibrant excursion into the verious styles of contemporary electronic music, ranging from drum&bass, psy trance, electronic dub and gypsy/world house.
With a passionate love for music, performing and touring, Loonaloop has independently sold more than 10.000 albums, and completed the equivalent of 13 times the circumference of the moon in their trusty “Loona Van”.
Some of Loonaloops' many highlights is performing at 12 Glastonbury Festivals, nailing 14 International tours, and taking out the award for Best Electronic Song in the NCIEA Music Awards.

Loonaloop, over all the way from Australia on their Grand European tour, are a live psychedelic dub folk trance fusion act and strewth mate, I think they might be the best band I’ve seen this year. Jaw-dropping musical talent, paired with incredible composition and hypnotic stage presence, they weave a truly enchanting tapestry with a surprisingly broad appeal.
Thank you, Shiney Lefai, for dragging your collective of geniuses to the other side of the world so we can experience your wonderful music. It is unmissable, to the point I’m strongly considering throwing my summer plans in the bin so I can come see you again!
